I think you have inadvertantly changed the keyboard to Danish. I can't offer any sure-to-work help, I'm afraid, but try lying down in a darkened room.

Or go out for a long lunch. It is Sunday.

Oh Catastrophe, CI! - there's nothing worse than luukung solly, and with bi sarprosid to boot...

Do what I do, and bash your PC against the wall a few times - always helps;

Technically...you didn't say the dreaded c word, especially today of all days. Thank God for the dodgy keyboard.

I am here, CI. However, I can not help you. But you are not (quite) beyond help. I suggest you call qwertyfordummies.com. I understand they have a 24-hour hotline. Their slogan is "Solving your problem is as easy as ABC."

At quiz nights in the pub I make my excuses and head toward the dartboard, however, I think I've worked the vowels out.
A=U, E=A, I=E, O=I, U=O

As for the consonants...I'll leave that to the experts because I'm a vowel man, born and bred.:-)

Hello JW!
My message to Expat overlapped with yours.

My keyboard is OK now (yippee!) and I've discovered something extraordinary. The Glaswegian football club "c" is pronounced "s" and not "k".

So the "c" word which should be a "k" word isn't a "c" word but is an "s" word instead.

It's confusing. What do Scotsmen wear under their silts?

Crikey! Everybody is talking here at the same time!

I love you all!!

When my keyboard became funny, AEIOU became EIOUA and JQXZWD became DWZXQJ.

The weird thing for me was that I could still understand what I was saying. (I think).

Hi Expat!
I googled qwertyfordummies.com and got a Spanish response: "La búsqueda de qwertyfordummies.com no obtuvo ningún resultado".

Well, that's put me in a fine old tizz-wozz. And it's put me in a mood to write a serious something. I may be a while...

If only I had realized this was a test of my puzzle-solving capabilities rather than my capability to be facetious....

Hi Expat!
My fault! Yes, the puzzle idea was for the clues for consonant substitution to emerge in our dialogue (eg Izpet for Expat, so x=z). But I think I lost the plot when I got enamoured with the craziness of words and sentences containing muddled-up vowels. I'm all too easily enamoured by stuff like that. At one point I found myself happily marching around trying to make up a sentence with muddled-up vowels that would read as a perfectly normal English sentence. It involved words like nit and net, not to mention not and (appropriately) nut.

Sad, isn't it? :-)

And I think I've been trying too hard to be jolly after my blogs got sabotaged. Afterwards I checked the internet cafe machine downstairs and proved that it can stay open unless you sign out. I've been promised it will be fixed - someone else could make the same silly mistake as me and leave their bank account vulnerable!!!
